All licensed doctors and therapists have the opportunity to become Mediion partners!

Prerequisite: doctors and therapists as natural persons must be employed part-time or permanently by a legal entity (an institution that has the right to provide private health services).

All doctors who are partially or fully contracted with the HZZO have the right to provide private services outside the contracted working hours, either in the form of remote consultations or examinations in the doctor’s office.

With Mediion PRO:

You can independently organize private examinations in the doctor’s office with the e-ordering calendar, easily keep records through the Mediion electronic patient health record where you have the possibility to exchange and view the medical documentation with your patient at any time.

Through Mediion PRO, you have the option of defining the price of the service, determining availability on the platform itself through a two-way e-ordering calendar, and the option of providing consultative/advisory services and reviews in accordance with security regulations and standards (GDPR). The doctor directly charges for the provided consultation through the Mediion PRO platform and ultimately generates a written record for the patient in the form of a medical history. The examination in the doctor’s office can be charged through the platform or through the POS device in the office, depending on the business preference of the legal institution.

With the help of Mediion PRO, you are given the opportunity to replace the previously unprotected electronic communication with patients (e-mail, digital platforms, social networks, websites) and the daily burden of phone calls with a new protected communication system (GDPR).

What equipment do I need to use Mediion PRO?

In order for doctors to be able to use the Mediion PRO platform, it is necessary to meet the minimum technical prerequisites. The Mediion PRO web platform requires a computer with an up-to-date operating system and a camera to provide remote teleconsultations. In addition to using the web platform, doctors also have the Mediion PRO mobile application available on Google Play or the App Store.

The doctor can add a patient to his file through the Mediion PRO platform by simply entering the patient’s e-mail address. At the same moment, the patient automatically receives an invitation with all the necessary explanations in his e-mail mailbox. After successful registration, the patient finds the targeted doctor or institution through a simple and supported search through their web or mobile application. The same patient is displayed in the medical Mediion PRO patient file.

Written and teleconsultation will serve you for the initial assessment of the condition and symptoms, counseling of patients, and in some cases also for establishing a diagnosis and prescribing therapy, without the need for the patient to come to the doctor’s office.

Written consultation

The patient sends the doctor a text query and the attached documentation necessary to obtain an appropriate health consultation. After the query has been sent, the patient is prevented from sending additional messages until the doctor downloads the received query for processing. The doctor on his Mediion PRO mobile and web application receives notifications about a new patient request, based on which he makes a decision whether to accept the patient’s request for processing or reject it.

If the patient’s inquiry is unclear or incomplete, the doctor can always start a text discussion in which the patient can send messages, and the doctor can easily determine a more precise history of the patient before making a decision on further processing or rejection.

When the doctor receives the patient’s inquiry for processing, the Mediion PRO system provides him with the possibility of parallel communication with the patient and the creation of a medical history, which is instantly generated in the patient’s OMP (personal medical compartment) within his Mediion application with one click of the doctor.

The doctor independently makes the decision to complete the consultation and charge for it. The prerequisite for completing a written consultation is the creation of a medical history or advice in the form of a text message, depending on the type of case.

Teleconsultation

The patient sends the doctor a text query, along with which he attaches all the necessary documentation, and chooses one of the offered appointments that the doctor previously predefined according to his own choice.

The doctor on his Mediion PRO mobile and web application receives notifications about a new patient request, based on which he makes a decision whether to accept the patient’s request for processing or reject it.

Unlike a written consultation, the patient and doctor have the opportunity to communicate openly via text messages from the moment the patient’s query is sent, during the video call, until the end of the teleconsultation. From sending the inquiry until the end of the teleconsultation and after it ends, the patient and the doctor have an overview of all changed text messages, documents, billing information and teleconsultation statuses within the appointment details on the Mediion web and mobile application.

When the doctor takes over the patient’s query for processing, the Mediion PRO system provides him with the possibility of parallel communication with the patient (video and text) and the creation of a medical history that is instantly generated in the patient’s OMP (personal medical box) within his Mediion application with one click of the doctor. The doctor makes a decision independently on the completion of the consultation and its payment. If the doctor does not call the patient on a video call within 15 minutes from the start of the scheduled appointment, the teleconsultation is terminated and no charge is made.

Through the Mediion PRO administration, you have the option of defining the examination settings in terms of duration and billing for all services for which the doctor is available. The doctor or administrator can determine the average duration of the examination or consultation appointment of their own choice, which results in automatic adjustment of the calendar to the selected time slots.

The doctor defines his availability through the Mediion PRO two-way e-ordering calendar. The calendar is easy to use and is adapted to one or more doctors, depending on the type of institution. Also, the calendar is flexible and offers the possibility of viewing by day, week or month for easier business organization. The doctor or administrator of the institution can determine the available appointments with one move on the calendar, which are ultimately displayed to the patient in his application when selecting the desired doctor.

Example: if the doctor selects in the examination settings that the average duration of the appointment is 20 minutes, all slots in the calendar are divided into 20 minutes of appointment duration. The same appointments are ultimately offered to the patient when choosing a service at the requested doctor. Regardless of the predefined duration of the appointment on the calendar, during the examination or consultation, the duration of the appointment itself is not limited to 20 minutes, but to the doctor’s free will and choice. Adjustment of slots is only possible before booking the first appointments!

The doctor has the possibility to independently initiate the appointment booking through the ordering calendar. When booking an appointment, the doctor selects a patient from the Mediion PRO file, enters the reason for the visit and selects the type of service. The doctor can also accept the offered appointment for the patient himself if they had a previous agreement. In this case, the patient receives a notification about the reservation of the appointment via a notification in his Mediion application and via e-mail.

If the patient is not a Mediion user, the doctor can still book an appointment for him, but he is not able to take him in for processing!

Private doctors can use Mediion PRO unlimitedly at any time of the day or week.

All doctors who are partially or fully contracted with the HZZO have the right to provide private services exclusively outside the contracted working hours, either in the form of remote consultations or examinations in the doctor’s office.

MEDIION automatically and securely stores and saves all medical documentation in one place and provides the highest level of protection for both you and your patients’ privacy in accordance with all applicable standards and regulations (GDPR).

The doctor can receive, send and exchange documentation always with the consent of the patient, in a secure and verified way, without the risk of cyber attacks and theft.

All the patient’s medical documentation is stored in the OMP (personal medical box), and the doctor accesses it via the patient’s electronic record.

Define the price of services independently as a business manager or institution administrator. Through the Mediion PRO administration, you have the option of defining the examination settings in terms of duration and billing for all services for which the doctor is available. How is the provision of healthcare services through Mediion charged?

The health service provided by the doctor to the patient is charged at the end of the consultation/examination. In this way, Mediion PRO allows the doctor to choose whether to charge for the service or not because it will be marked as an examination from the service. In this way, the doctor has the option of freely choosing according to real business situations.

All the services you provide through the Mediion PRO platform enable the creation of a pdf document of the medical history and other parameters that are automatically saved in the patient’s electronic record. If you use a licensed software solution as a contracted institution, you can transfer all documents from the Mediion PRO platform to another system by uploading the same pdf documents.

With the Mediion PRO mobile application, the doctor can monitor all future and past health actions anytime and anywhere. Active monitoring is possible with automated notifications and reminders on the mobile application. You can provide quick written consultations and track appointment statuses, as well as seamlessly communicate and exchange documents with patients.
